About DJing lessons

DJing is more than playing tracks in a row. It means matching tempos, planning transitions, managing energy and reading the room. Beginners learn their controller, beatmatching, EQ transitions and how to organise a music library.

Scratching, harmonic mixing and set design come later. Sets for clubs, radio and live streams each call for different thinking. Recorded courses let you repeat techniques on your own gear, and in 1-on-1 mentoring you can play your set for a DJ and get feedback.

FAQ

What equipment do I need to start DJing?

A DJ controller, a laptop, headphones and software such as Rekordbox or Serato are enough to begin. You can move to club-standard CDJs later.

Is using sync wrong?

No, it is a tool. Learning to beatmatch by ear still helps when sync fails or when you play on unfamiliar gear.

How do I prepare a set?

Think about the venue and audience first, then group tracks by tempo and energy. A flexible plan works better than a fully memorised list.

Do I need music theory?

Not necessarily, though knowing rhythm, bars and key makes transitions noticeably easier.

How do I learn DJing on Musichool?

10 courses and mentorships from 5 instructors: watch recorded video courses at your own pace, or work with an instructor in online 1:1 mentorship sessions.

How much do DJing courses cost?

Prices range from 2,400 ₺ to 12,500 ₺; a recorded course is paid once and stays in your account for life.

Recorded course or 1:1 mentorship?

Recorded courses (1) suit learners who want to go at their own pace. 1:1 mentorship (8) suits those who want a personal roadmap to their goal: the mentor asks questions, listens to your work and guides you.
