Cancellation and Refund Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective: Draft Draft
This document is a draft under legal review. Fields in square brackets will be completed after approval.
1. In short
- Digital content is unlocked immediately after payment, so there is no statutory right of withdrawal.
- Even so, if you have not used the content, we give a voluntary refund under certain conditions.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- If content is defective, your legal rights always remain.
2. Statutory right of withdrawal
Distance contracts normally come with a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, services performed instantly online and intangible goods delivered instantly are excluded (Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation Art. 15/1-ğ).
At checkout you confirm that you expressly agree to immediate access and know that you therefore have no right of withdrawal. Details: Pre-Contract Information Form.
3. Voluntary refund (single course)
Although the law does not require it, we want to be fair:
[KARAR: içerik açılmamışsa X gün içinde iade? — the draft rule below must be approved by the founder and lawyer]
- If you ask within [KARAR: X] days of buying the course, and
- you have not started watching any lesson of the course [KARAR: definition of "started watching" — e.g. no video played],
we refund the full price. This refund is a goodwill gesture; it may not apply if it is abused (for example repeatedly buying and refunding).
4. Cancelling a subscription (Plus and instructor subscriptions)
- You can cancel at any time in your account settings. Cancelling is no harder than subscribing.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. You keep access to all subscription content until then, and you are not charged for the next period.
- We e-mail you a reminder 7 days before each renewal, so you can cancel in time if you do not want to renew.
- No partial refunds are given for unused time. [KARAR: exceptions — e.g. refund of the renewal fee if the reminder e-mail could not be sent; cancellation within the first X days of a yearly plan]
5. Cancellation by Musichool
If Musichool ends a subscription immediately (for example because the service is stopped or due to a technical error), we refund [KARAR: refund amount — pro rata for the remaining period or full?].
Whether a refund is given when an account is closed for a serious breach of the Terms of Use: [KARAR: refund policy for closure due to breach — lawyer to assess compliance with consumer law].
6. Defective content
If a course is not as described or cannot be watched because of a technical problem, write to us first and we will fix it. If we cannot, you may use your rights under Turkish Law No. 6502 (withdrawal from the contract, price reduction, repair, or a non-defective equivalent). These rights are separate from the voluntary refund conditions.
7. Duplicate or incorrect payments
If you were charged twice for the same content by mistake, or charged the wrong amount because of a technical error, we refund the excess.
8. How to ask for a refund
- Write to [email protected] from the e-mail address registered in your account.
- Give your order number and the reason for the refund.
- We will answer within [KARAR: response time] business days at the latest.
9. How refunds are paid
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through PayTR.
- We start an approved refund within 14 days at the latest. How long it takes to appear on your card depends on your bank.
- Your access to the refunded course or subscription ends.
10. Complaints
If you disagree with our refund decision, you can apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) within the monetary limits announced each year by the Turkish Ministry of Trade, to the Consumer Court above those limits, or through the "Tüketici Şikâyet" system on e-Devlet.
The Turkish version of this policy prevails if there is any conflict between the two versions.
